REMOTE: Customer Service (Telephone) Part-Time Position
We’re on the search for a part-time telephone customer service and operations assistant here at Railway Model Store. The role is fully remote / work from home, but we will provide an office pass if needed.
Railway Model Store was founded in 2018 and is part of Hobby Store Group with the ambition to bring model railways to everyone, deliver excellent customer service and our new team member will be a big part of fulfilling this. We’re currently a small team of 3.
Job Roles & Responsibilities:
- You will represent RMS and be the friendly voice on the phone as customers call - assisting our customers with outstanding orders and taking new orders over the telephone. Lines are open between 9am-2pm.
- You will be responsible to follow up customers by email if required and ensure all answers are available in our internal/external help centre.
- Making outbound calls to customers that sign up to our website to check what support we can offer.
- Providing advice and insights to our team internally to help shape our stock holding/ordering and operations.
Skills Required:
- Experience with or knowledge of model railroading is preferred, although not necessary.
- Confidence communicating on the telephone.
- Good written and spoken English.
- Proficient with technology, and preferably some experience with eCommerce systems.
- Enthusiasm to be helpful and assist our customers to the best of your ability.
Contractual Hours & Time Commitment
- The role is approximately 25 hours a week.
- Our phone lines are open Monday - Friday 9am-2pm.
- Note: Hours could differ during Christmas/peak times and less hours during quieter periods.
Pay:
- £1075 per month.
- Additional Perks: RMS team member discount of 20%.
